This beautiful smaller pheasant is easy to keep and generally is a very good parent. This species benefits from having grass to graze on and in a properly sized pen it will keep the grass nicely trimmed. Goldens are not diggers and hence they are easy on the landscaping. They should be kept separate from Lady Amhyerst since they will cross-breed. While they are very Winter hardy, during severe storms they will need protection from the wind, due to their smaller size. These are all from this year’s hatch and are fully hardened.
