This bird is a favorite and while it is not as colorful as the Red Golden it has a lot to recommend it. It is extremely Winter hardy and can survive any snowstorm. They will easily dig out their feeders and seem unaffected by the cold. However, if their pen is too small they will completely ruin landscaping by digging. While they are diggers they do not need greens. Like other pheasants they love peanuts and can be trained using peanuts to be quite friendly. We have 2 males for sale from this year’s hatch.
