This cartridge is normally found chambered in the Winchester 1876 rifle, although sometimes one comes across it is other rifles. Although not as common as the 50-70, this cartridge typically fires a slightly ligher bullet at a higher velocity. A Winchester factory load was a 300 gr bullet at a nominal 1560 fps. It uses the standard 0.512″ – 0.513″ bullet. This brass is made by Bertram but has a different headstamp, although it does show 50-95. The shipping weight is 295 g.
