476 Eley / Enfield

$30.00

The 476 was one of earliest self-contained handgun cartridges adopted by the British military. This cartridge would morph into the 455 by the incorporation of a inside lubricated bullet. The 476 used a heel bullet and this one closely matches the original bullet for the 476 Enfield revolver or the 476 Webley revolver. The heel portion is a nominal 0.455″ and will fit in a 455 case. The bearing surface of the bullet is nominally 0.480″. It shoots well in either 476 or 476/455 Webley revolvers and has minimal leading. While the bullets are film lubed, it is recommended that additional lube be placed on it after loading. The typical weight is 271 gr. Since this is a heel bullet, it will need to be crimped using a collet type die. The price is per 50 bullets and the shipping weight is 880 grams.
