Prices is per pair and arrangements must be made for pick-up as birds are not shipped. All are from the current year’s hatch and have been outside and are fully hardened. They are friendly and become acclimated to people fairly quickly. While Peafowl are Winter hardy after the first year, during their first year they must be provided shelter and ideally some protection from cold temperatures. After they first year, they can tolerate outdoors conditions even during the worst Winter storms. Unlike other members of the pheasant family, they will not did out their feeders, so additional care is required. They do not get their full plummage until year 3 and fertility is not usually evident until then as well. They will not leave an area once they are acclimated and peanuts are a major treat for them.
